It measures just 0.2 inch thick (6.1mm) and weighs only 3.1 ounces (88 grams). That's even with the new extra-long 4-inch Retina Display found on the iPhone 5.
The new ipod runs on a A5 processor that gives the Touch up to twice the processing power and up to seven times faster graphics. Bluetooth 4.0 with LE and 802.11 a/b/g/n with dual-band 802.11n. It will also support AirPlay gaming via Apple TV with virtual controllers and Siri, too
The apple ipod has a 5-megapixel sensor with backside illumination for better low-light photos, a hybrid IR filter, five-element lens with an f2.4 aperture, and a sapphire crystal. It can shoot 1080p video, and the front camera does FaceTime HD at 720p resolution.
The battery still provides 40 hours of music and 8 hours of video playback.It uses Apple's new mini Lightning connector, which is 80 percent smaller than the old iPod 30-pin connector. This unfortunately means if you have an old speaker dock or other accessories, you're going to need a $29 adapter from Apple to use your old one.
