Nokia's new smartphones offer more sensitive touch screens

A new technology from Synaptics brings greater sensitivity to the touch screens in Nokia's new Lumia 920 and 820 handsets.
"Super Sensitive Touch" technology will better detect and respond to your individual touch.Nokia's new Lumia 920 and 820 will be the first recipients of Synaptics' new ClearPad Series 3 feature. Beyond accounting for gloves and fingernails, the ClearPad Series 3 sensors can track up to 10 fingers at a time, detecting each one clearly and separately, according to Synaptics.
Nokia's new Lumia 920 also uses a display technology called PureMotion HD+, which offers resolution greater than the regular HD and lets you better view the screen under bright sunlight.
"With Synaptics' continuous innovation on touch, we are able to pioneer new technologies that improve smartphone user experience," Kevin Shields, senior vice president for Nokia Smart Devices, said today in a statement. "Nokia has been a leader in display technology, and we are setting a new standard with Super Sensitive Touch technology on the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820."
